TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE FISH is a visual musical theatre treat inspired by the work of Eric Carle.
The delightful stories, cheeky humour and vibrantly coloured collages of Eric Carle's picture books (‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, ‘Do You Want to Be My Friend?’ and ‘Papa, Please Get The Moon For Me’) have enchanted millions around the world. His themes of love, friendship and the discovery of nature have touched and inspired children and their families for more than 30 years.
In an explosion of lively stories, dazzling puppetry, swirling visual images and specially created music inspired by Eric Carle's themes and visual style TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE FISH presents a joyful celebration of the world of animals, insects and plants. Audiences were amazed by the giant animals, marvel at the changing seasons and watch as the caterpillar grows fat, builds a cocoon and transforms into an enormous beautiful butterfly.
TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE FISH combines the talents of some of Australia's leading theatre artists and played to capacity audiences during its initial season at the 1998 Out of the Box festival in Queensland.
