Following a hugely successful World Premiere season in Adelaide at the Dunstan Playhouse, Metro Street was invited to the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) as the Opening production of the Festival in June 2009.
The Korean audiences embraced that production along with glowing reviews. At the annual Daegu Musical Awards, the production was nominated for a number of awards, with Debra Byrne winning Best Female Actor in a Leading Role.
